Fred Savage is an American actor with a net worth of approximately $18 million. Born on July 9, 1976, he is the son of Joanne and Lewis, who were real estate agents and consultants. He is one of three kids, and he was born in Illinois. He was raised in Illinois but moved to California when he was a teenager and spent his high school career at the Brentwood School. He graduated there and went on to become a student at Stanford University where he graduated with a degree in English in 1999. His acting career is one that began early, and he has grown up a lot since his first job.
It was the mid-80s when he got his first job in acting when he was cast as part of a show called “Morningstar/Eveningstar” at 9. From that point forward, he was cast in several television shows that were not very famous and did not do very well. He was working regularly but he was not making a name for himself in the business. It was not until he was cast in “The Princess Bride,” in the late 80s that he became someone a bit more well-known. Of course, that was a huge movie and a huge cast so it makes sense he would become famous in that one.
Once that was said and done, Fred Savage really began to make his mark. From there he was cast as the role we all know and love him for; Kevin Arnold in The Wonder Years. It was 1988 and he was a huge star by this point, at only 12. During his time as Kevin Arnold, Fred Savage was given two Golden Globe award nominations as well as two Emmy award nominations. He was 13 and he was the youngest actor in the history of Hollywood to add that kind of thing to his work resume.
He stayed on the show for the duration, which was five years. After that, he didn’t do much more than just make guest appearances. His brother is Ben Savage, the famous actor from Boy Meets World, and he did a fair amount of guest starring on that show when it aired. However, he was really into directing and producing and began doing that about 6 years after his acting career came to an end. That is where he has earned the vast majority of his income, and he will continue to do that for the time being.
In 2004, he married a woman that has been his friend since they were children. He and Jennifer have three kids together – two boys and a girl. He continues to work in the Hollywood, producing and directing television shows. He’s behind several famous shows such as The Wizards of Waverly Place, Hannah Montana and That’s So Raven. He’s done well for himself and continues to do well for himself as an adult.
