What is the favorite sporting event among celebrities? It’s tough to call. Hollywood as a whole loves their sports and tend to make regular appearances in the stands or private suites at all different events. Thus, it should come as no surprise that one of the biggest sporting events in the world, the Super Bowl, is a common gathering for all different types of celebs.

Today, we’ll highlight the top Super Bowl loving celebrities. For the record, we’re not counting Kendra Wilkinson or Kim Kardashian who have made past appearances because of significant others. That doesn’t count. We’re only looking for the real sports fans.

Super Bowl XLVII - Baltimore Ravens v San Francisco 49ers

Michael Phelps

Michael Phelps is an avid sports fan, but made headlines when he and his mom cried when their hometown Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bowl last year. The Ravens have been in a few Super Bowls this century and Phelps is a big time fan of the event. He certainly made the most of his time their last year.

Maria Menounos

Maria Menounos is a big time Boston sports fan (or so she claims). Seeing that’s the case, Maria has been to her fair share of title games over the past several years. The Patriots aren’t headed to the championship this year, but that doesn’t stop Menounos. She’s a big fan.

Justin Timberlake

Timberlake fancies himself quite the athlete and sports fan for that matter. If he’s not performing, partaking in one of the pre-Super Bowl events, or post Super Bowl parties he’s involved in the game somehow. (See Audi Super Bowl Party in 2011 above)

Will Ferrell

Guess who’s been spotted at a Seattle Seahawks game this year? Is he a super fan? Maybe. Ferrell is actually a regular at sporting events and you can bet on seeing him in the stands this year (assuming he doesn’t have a scheduling conflict).

Jay Z Performs At The Staples Center

Jay Z

Maybe Jay Z isn’t there to root on a team. Maybe he’s there to root on his wife during a halftime performance. He could even be there to scout out some potential clients for Roc Nation Sports. This year – Jay is having one of the biggest Super Bowl parties in New York so clearly he has a lot of reasons to love the game.

Jaime Foxx

Jaime Foxx went big when it came to Super Bowl 2013. He lived up the New Orleans experience and we’d be shocked if he wasn’t in New Jersey/New York for this year’s big game as well. He’s probably already staked out the Super Bowl parties.

Sofia Vergara

The seductive Colombian is actually a frequenter to the big game. She was in New Orleans last year, she made it out in 2011, perhaps someone hasn’t told her that it’s football not futbol! I wouldn’t be surprised if she popped up at the big game in New Jersey or New York this year. For the record, Olivia Munn is a Super Bowl freak too!

Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher has been a part of Super Bowls for the past ten years. Kutcher – a Bears fan – hasn’t had much of a chance to cheer on his team in the big game, but he’s still enjoyed the party. All the way back to 2003 to present day. He’s a regular at the big game. (How awkward is this photo?)

Snoop Dogg

Snoop loves his sports. He’s a regular in pre-Super Bowl festivities. Whether it be charity football games or parties, he can accommodate the scene. We’re not holding out hope Snoop makes it to the big game this year, but he’s been a regular for years and years.

Super Bowl XLV

Owen Wilson

Owen Wilson is surprisingly a pretty big sports fan. He was on the field in 2011 tossing around the pigskin and has been seen at tons of other sporting events. Wilson lived it up at Super Bowl XLV, will he be back this year?

Will Smith

Will Smith’s love for sports is no mystery. He’s a big Philadelphia sports fan so his city isn’t helping him get to the big game. Either way, he’s going to make an appearance at big events and he’s no stranger to the Super Bowl.

Black Eyed Peas

I’m going to cheat on this one because the Black Eyed Peas have been halftime performers, but they’ve also attended the big game. Particularly, Fergie and her husband Josh Duhammel. The Black Eyed Peas give us several chances to get this one right so it’s an easy choice.
