Yesterday we reported that Charlie Hunnam was officially out as Christian Grey in the upcoming film adaptation of ’50 Shades of Grey’. The news broke late last week that the British actor was having scheduling issues with his primary project ‘Sons of Anarchy’. Whether that story is actually true or not remains to be seen. Regardless, ’50 Shades’ fans are now anxiously waiting for the next actor to take on satisfying not just Anastasia Steele, but millions of super fans.
According to The Huff Post, there are eight actors including fan favorite Matt Bomer (pictured above) that will be considered to replace Hunnam. Aside from Bomer, Ryan Gosling, Ian Somerhalder, Alexander Skarsgard, Robert Pattinson, Armie Hammer, Michael Fassbender, and Alex Pettyfer will all be top contenders for Christian Grey.
We’ve done multiple reports on this movie and it hasn’t even started production. It’s been well-documented that Pattinson desperately wants the role, but for our money it’s really between Bomer, Gosling, and Fassbender. Hopefully, this will be the last report before the final actor is picked for the role and we won’t hear about the film until it’s released.
