It’s been three long yes since Adele released her last album, and fans are dying to know when the superstar is planning on releasing another. Well, it appears that the wait is over because rumor has it (haha) that the British singer’s new album is on its way. The singer made fans speculate back in May that she might have spent her 25th year working on an album posted this Twitter message, “Bye bye 25….See you again later in the year,” on her 26th birthday.
Earlier this week the official Twitter account for the World Music Awards posted the following message, “#adele confirms 2015 Tour After the Release of her New Album 25!” but the post was quickly deleted. The singer’s first two albums were named after her age that the time (18 in 2008 and 21 in 2011). Martin Mills, the chairman of the parent company of Adele’s recording company, however, states that there is no truth to this misleading rumor and that Adele has made no such announcement or confirmed anything of the sort regarding a tour and an album.
The star has been spending time home for the past few years, working on another bit project, her daughter. In the grand scheme of things, however, it seems that the rumors are swirling with a vengeance. Despite the “no truth” statement about Adele’s alleged tour in 2015, singers such as Phil Collins have mentioned to Rolling Stone that he’s been in the studio with the singer working on a collaboration. No matter what’s been said at this point, the star has clearly been back in the studio.
“She will deliver the album on her own timetable, at her own pace. And the only person that will ever declare it finished will be her, when she decides it’s finished,” said Ryan Tedder, the music producer that’s been in the studio with Adele this year. It’s not yet been confirmed, but it appears that a new album isn’t too far away.
