Ashlee Simpson Creates an Interesting Bridal Ensemble

Ashlee Simpson’s wedding day was a family affair and that were a lot of kids involved in the event. The bride’s son Bronx, 5, walked his mom down the aisle. Her sister, Jessica Simpson, walked down the aisle as her matron of honor while her own children, 2-year-old Maxwell and 1-year-old Ace walked down the aisle as the flower girl and the ring bearer. The best part is that both the bride and her sister donned white gowns covered in bling.

The wedding ceremony was postponed a few minutes as a rain shower swept into Connecticut and kept the bridal party anxiously awaiting its passing so they could head outside for the event, but things worked out in their favor since it passed quickly.

The bride, which is who everyone cares about anyway, chose to wear a long sleeve top made of lace, with a bit of a crop to it. She went the boho-chic look with long, loose waves and a golden headband with twisty chains. She also stayed low-key with her jewelry, letting designer Neil Lane provide her with only a few simple pieces to go along with her custom wedding band.

She paired her crop top, designed by Houghton Bridal, with a Madonna bralet and a lace skirt with a hi-lo hemline. And let’s not forget that she finished off her look with a gorgeous lace veil with scalloped edges. However, she only wore that for the ceremony, changing into a crop top pantsuit for her reception. The wide-leg pants make it easy for her to dance and enjoy herself along with her new husband and her family.

All the bridesmaids donned white gowns and long, loose hair with fun jewels to complete the boho-chic look. It was a truly ethereal affair with a fairy-type feel, and the couple is perfectly happy with the way it all turned out.
