Ashley Judd put her marital issues aside when she heard the news of her ex-husband Dario Franchitti’s crash at the Houston Grand Prix this past weekend. According to The Huffington Post, Judd rushed to Franchitti’s side after a terrible accident that left him with a concussion, broken right ankle, and two fractured vertebrae. The crash was severe enough that debris from his vehicle flew into the stands injuring thirteen fans. Franchitti was immediately transported to the hospital by ambulance after the accident.
Judd, 45, and Franchitti, 40, announced their split after 11 years of marriage this past January. The couple is yet to file for divorce, but there doesn’t appear to be any indication that they have reconciled. The split was done in a very respectful manner and the two have remained close friends through it all.
Judd went to social media to thank all the fans for their support of Franchitti during his accident and recovery: “Thank you for the prayers for @dariofranchitti I have only clothes on my back & the dogs but that’s all that we need & we are on our way.” We hope Franchitti has a swift and successful recovery, and we will see if this incident brings the couple back together.
