Ashley Olson dating Moneyball Director Bennet Miller

Philip Seymour Hoffman's Funeral Service

The Olson sisters sure like their men older and wiser. After splitting last month with ex David Schulte, the CEO of luxury eyewear brand Oliver Peoples who is in his mid-40’s, the 27-year old fashion designer has moved on. She is now dating Moneyball director Bennett Miller, 47.

The new couple comforted one another at Philip Seymour Hoffman‘s star-studded funeral in NYC on Friday, Feb. 7. Miller was one of Hoffman’s close friends and also directed the late actor in the 2005 film Capote, which earned Hoffman one of his four Oscar nominations and his only Oscar win. Hoffman also acted in Miller’s 2011 film Moneyball alongside star Brad Pitt.

Ashley has followed in her twin sister Mary-Kate’s trend of dating older men. MK has been dating, for almost two years, Olivier Sarkozy, 44, the French banker and half-brother of Nicolas Sarkozy, former President of France. Ashley’s new man is 20 years her senior.

The Full House actress has done a good job of keeping her romantic life pretty quiet in recent years. Her last high-profile romance was with The Hangover actor Justin Bartha, 35, who she dated from 2008 to 2011. She has also been linked with designer Greg Chait, 34, and restaurateur Scott Sartiano, 39.

Ashley has been spending time in Los Angeles with Miller as he edits his latest film, Foxcatcher. The movie stars Steve Carrell and Channing Tatum and tells the true story of Olympic Wrestling Champion Mark Schultz (Tatum), his brother, Olympic Champion Dave Schultz, and their relationship with the eccentric John du Pont (Steve Carell), heir to the du Pont chemical fortune. The relationship leads to murder, with du Pont, a paranoid schizophrenic, killing Dave. The movie, originally slated for release on Dec. 20, 2013, will be released later this year.
