The Bachelorette’s Ashley Hebert Gives Birth

There’s a new Bachelor baby in town. Former bachelorette Ashley Hebert welcomed her first baby today with her husband J.P. Rosenbaum. The couple met on the Bachelorette’s season 7 when Ashley chose him over 24 other men all vying for her attention. The 30-year-old reality television star gave birth to Fordham Rhys Rosenbaum on Tuesday, September 30. The baby was born weighing 7 lbs. 3 oz. and he’s 18.5 inches.

The couple tied the knot after meeting on the show, and they shared with the Bachelor and Bachelorette host Chris Harrison that they were expecting a little boy back in April. The couple made their announcement to Chris Harrison exclusively, as well as allowed the television host to marry them on national television.

“I definitely saw J.P.’s profile on the ultrasound. I’m gonna be living with two J.P.’s,” she said to Harrison when she got to see her first baby for the first time. The couple recently moved to Miami after they’d been living for the past few years in New York. They wanted to escape the cold winters and live somewhere that was just a little bit more climate friendly, so they chose to move to Miami.

“They are both so thrilled. J.P. is especially excited; they have wanted this for a while,” said a friend of the couple after they found out they were expecting their first child. They said that they wanted kids right away, but they wanted Ashley to finish school before they made the decision to have kids of their own. She was in dental school and had a few more semesters left before she graduated, and they did not waste any time at all after she was officially done with school. The baby is a first for both, and the couple is very excited to be first-time parents.
