Benedict Cumberbatch not only has one of the most fun names around, he’s also newly engaged and in the news quite a bit these days for that (and congratulations to him). Today, however, we are not here to talk about his lovely fiancé, his proposal or even his new movie, “The Imitation Game.” The British actor recently sat down with MTV to talk about all those things, but what really stood out for us was the fact that he is really good at imitations.
Of course, he does play the mathematical genius Alan Turing in his new film as he works to break Nazi code, and as an actor you have to be pretty good at imitating others to actually do your job. But while he sat down with MTV’s Josh Horowitz, he was given the challenge of imitating some of the most famous celebrities in the world, and he actually rocked it.
In under 60 seconds, the actor manages to impersonate a staggering 11 celebrities, and he nails it. He does an impersonation of the incredibly famous Taylor Swift that will have you laughing, and his Matthew McConaughey is enough to have you convinced. He’s also given names such as Alan Rickman and Sean Connery – not all that easy to impersonate – but he does it anyway. The only impersonation that wasn’t spot on was his rendition of Christopher Walken, but hey – the guy can’t be expected to be completely perfect, can he? If you have 60 seconds, you have time to sit back and watch with amazement as the talented actor imitates some of your favorite celebs; and you will be surprised at this hidden talent of the British actor’s.
