Big Bang Theory Actress Carol Ann Susi Loses Life to Cancer

The Big Bang Theory is one of the most popular shows on television, and part of the reason for the show’s significant success is its great cast. The mysterious Mrs. Wolowitz, who no one ever saw and only heard, was a fan favorite and a topic worth discussing for fans of the show. Who was she? Who is she? Are we ever going to meet this mysterious teacher? Sadly, the actress who provided the voice for Mrs. Wolowitz lost her life yesterday.

After battling cancer, Carol Ann Susi died at the age of 62. “The Big Bang Theory family has lose a beloved member today with the passing of Carol Ann Susi, who hilariously and memorably voiced the role of Mrs. Wolowitz. Unseen by viewers, the Mrs. Wolowitz character became a bit of a mystery throughout the show’s eight seasons. What was not a mystery, however, was Carol Ann’s immense talent and comedic timing, which were on display during each unforgettable appearance. In addition to her talent, Carol Ann was a constant source of joy and kindness to all. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with her family during this time, and we will miss her greatly,” said a representative for the show after the passing of the actress.

The popular sitcom was not Susi’s only role. She appeared on countless television series and movies throughout a career that spanned an astounding four decades. She’s also appeared in hit shows such as Seinfeld, Grey’s Anatomy and even Ugly Betty. The actress spent some time battling a very aggressive form of cancer, though no details of her death have been released at this point other than that it was a cancer-related death. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law; no children or spouse. She will be greatly missed in Hollywood.
