Good news for fans of actor Bryan Cranston (so, essentially, everyone). Seems the actor is going to be the President. Okay, okay, so maybe I am selling that wrong. What I should say is, former Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston just landed the gig of playing president Lyndon B. Johnson on Broadway. I’ll admit, that is a pretty prestigious role to land, and proof that Cranston has no intention to slow down post Breaking Bad. From dealer to president. Wow, you have to admit, that is a pretty remarkable upgrade.
L.A Times has the whole story, but it seems Bryan Cranston just landed the LBJ part in “All The Way” which will open on Broadway sometimes later this year, with no solid date set in stone yet. All The Way shows us some insight into LBJ’s early career, and how he interacted with some key political figures. Bryan Cranston has been doing a run of All The Way in Cambridge, Ma, to much accolades, so the step to Broadway makes a great deal of sense, actually.
Most surprisingly, this is Bryan Cranstons first run at Broadway, so we imagine getting tickets to this won’t be easy, but for anyone who has seen the illustrious actor perform, it will be well worth it.
