Bryant Gumbel and Jane Pauley Return to TODAY

The "TODAY" Show 60th Anniversary Celebration

‘Today’ show viewers are getting a blast from the past today as former anchors Bryant Gumbel & Jane Pauley are returning to the show to co-anchor with Matt Lauer. Pauley and Gumbel shared the ‘Today’ desk for most of the 80s. Gumbel left the show in 1997 after 15 years in the anchor chair while Pauley left the show in 1989 after 13 years.  She spent her last seven years with Gumbel.

Today marks the first time Gumbel and Pauley have returned to the show together. Each former anchor has returned to ‘Today’ before, but never with each other. Gumbel joined the show last year to celebrate its 60th anniversary. Pauley maintains a monthly segment entitled ‘Life Reimagined Today’ in which she spotlights Americans over 50 embarking on new careers.

Enjoy the show!
