People, including celebrities like Courtney Love have become obsessed with the Malaysia Airlines story. Love, along with millions of other people have joined in the effort to search for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight 370 in the wake of the plane’s shocking disappearance on March 8, by logging into crowdsourcing locator website Tomnod. The Hole frontwoman posted a note on Facebook and tweeted that the the missing plane may have crashed in the ocean off the southwest coast of Vietnam and offered up the coordinates.
“Prayers go out to the families #MH370 and its like a mile away Pulau Perak, where they “last” tracked it 5°39’08.5″N 98°50’38.0″E but what do I know?” She even went as far as to post a photo of an ocean that she thought may have had oil slick markings and writing “I’m no expert but up close this does look like a plane and an oil slick.”
There aren’t too many hopeful signs out there in the search for the plane and Courtney Love is just another human being hoping that the mystery can be solved. As of right now Love’s comments have been “helpful” but her findings are more than likely local boats that have been fishing in the area. Still though, Tomrod applauded Love in her efforts by saying “keep up the good work.”
Hopefully the plane gets found soon and it would be amazing if Courtney Love were the catalyst that helped the search reach its conclusion.
