I don’t feel like anyone should be shocked about this. Cristiano Ronaldo is easily one of the greatest soccer players of all time, and has brought a whole new brand of fan to the game. Seems that after building a soccer museum in his Portuguese home own of Mediera he received the news that Christian Ronaldo named soccer’s world player of the year. Let’s be honest. that is a pretty accurate title to the give the guy.

The actual award is called the Ballon D’or, and it is given each year to player who has pretty much excelled at every aspect of the sport. Particular reason that Ronaldo made it this year was because how well he played against Sweden during the world cup. Ronaldo himself says he was “deeply moved” by the whole event, and seemed very grateful to be involved. Trust us, you earned it, buddy. You are like the Michael Jordan of soccer right now. Very few can touch you when you are in the zone.
