Drag Racing a Possible Factor in the Death of Paul Walker

Paul Walker Crash Site Becomes Memorial

Now that a bit of the dust has settled from the terrible accident this weekend that cost young actor Paul Walker his life, some details are emerging. First and foremost, everyone is asking why. What could have caused such a horrible accident, and what could have been done to prevent it? Truth is, as more and more details emerge, we are finding out the accident could have probably been completely avoided, which only makes its impact even more tragic.

CNN has reported that the young actor and his friend who was driving the car, Roger Rodas, may have been involved in some drag racing moments before the impact. There were doughnut spin-out marks near the car, and the road they were on is well known for being a strip of road that is very conducive to drag racing. No one can be sure just yet, but some signs around the wreck seem to imply some questionable driving. There are also reports that people heard a “pop” right before the accident, which is leading many to think that one of the car’s tires may have popped, causing them to hit the pole and subsequently burst into flames.

The sad part is, lives were lost, and this could have probably been avoided. We will give you more details on this tragedy as they emerge. For now, our hearts go out to the families and friends of those we lost.
