The Duchess of Cambridge Not Discussing Baby Gender
She’s managed to make it to three royal appearances this week, and that’s a big deal to the Duchess of Cambridge after her second bout of severe morning sickness. The Duchess is finally feeling better, though she’s aware of the fact that her sickness could overcome her health at any given moment, so she’s managing to take it easy and still appear at her scheduled events. However, while many people are hoping the Duchess will open up about her pregnancy now that she’s finally making appearances again, they’re hoping for nothing.
The Duchess hasn’t said a word – and isn’t planning on it either – about her hopes or her husband’s hopes for the gender of their new baby. Of course, most people simply speculate that both are looking forward to having a little girl. After all, it was the Duchess herself who said her husband was hoping for a girl the first time around. But it looks like neither are talking about the new baby in terms of what they want or don’t want. It leads to further speculation that the Duchess is perhaps carrying twins or that she’s having another boy.
The simple truth is that she’s only 13 weeks pregnant, and it’s far too early for the royal family to find out what she’s having. Most babies are not positively identified until around the 20th week. Some are revealed a little sooner, but experts agree that it needs to be something that happens after the 16th week for the most accuracy. And even then if the baby doesn’t cooperate, no one is finding out for sure what the gender will be until the baby is here. At the moment, the baby news is being kept mum, but that’s mostly due to the fact that no one knows yet what the Duchess is having – not even the Duke and Duchess.
