The Duggar Family Set to Welcome New Baby

The name of the show is going to have to change with the addition of all these grandchildren; 19 Kids and Counting star Jill Dillard is expecting her first child with her new husband. The daughter of the famous Duggar family was married to her husband in June and the couple just announced they are expecting their first child. Jill and Derick Dillard are due to welcome their first child sometime in March, and they couldn’t be any happier about the newest addition to their little family.

The reality television star was hoping she’d become pregnant quickly following her wedding, during which she kissed her husband for the first time in front of all of their friends and family, and now she is. It’s been two months since they wed and it’s already been a life changing two months for the little family. The reality star admits she didn’t think she was pregnant. She’d taken several pregnancy tests and all she kept seeing was a negative result. However, she and her husband were visiting the Duggar family when Jill’s sisters convinced her to try just one more time to take a test and find out whether or not she was expecting. The newlywed complied and lo and behold, she saw a positive result.

“It was surreal. We were shocked. Both of us are so excited,” father-to-be Derick Dillard says of the announcement that he and his new wife are expecting. It’s very early on in the pregnancy. The couple has only known for about a month that they’re expecting their first baby, and they have a long time to go before they welcome their new little one. Here’s hoping the young couple have a safe and healthy pregnancy, and that all goes well for the reality family and their newest little addition.
