Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Enjoying Holiday in Scotland

The Royal Family

It seems that the Duchess of Cambridge is feeling much better these days than she was only a month ago. The pregnant wife of Prince William has been making royal appearances over the past week or so after spending almost the entire time since news of her second pregnancy broke holed up at home sick with severe morning sickness. However, she’s back and she’s looking better than ever, and she’s currently enjoying some quality time alone with her husband and son.

The Duke and Duchess and 14-month-old Prince George are spending some quality time in Scotland right now, what some are calling a second babymoon. “William wanted to take Kate away for a break after her rough past couple of months. They both love the outdoors and the weather isn’t too cold yet, so it’s the perfect time to take a trip,” says a source close to the couple. The couple is looking to spend their time at the Queen’s home in Scotland doing a little relaxing and enjoying, and they’re perfectly happy that their son is able to come along on their trip with them.

The flight to their destination is roughly an hour, and sources report that the Duchess did well in-flight, which is good news for someone who suffered the kind of severe sickness she is so accustomed to suffering during her pregnancies. This trip to Balmoral Castle is a bit late in the year for the couple, who usually visit earlier in the year when Prince William’s grandmother is in Scotland. However, due to the Duchess’ illness, the couple chose to visit when they had a bit of free time and she was feeling up to making the trip. The new baby, gender as yet unknown, will join the royal family sometime in April, just in time to mark the anniversary of the royal couple.
