Our sincerest apologies to those of you excited to attend the kickoff concert of The Jonas Brothers’ new tour this Friday. According to USAToday, the Jonas Brothers’ upcoming tour has been scrapped because of ‘musical disharmony within the group’. Of course, that can be interpreted in many ways, but People has confirmed that there is a ‘deep rift’ within the band that stems from a disagreement from the musical direction of the band.
After headlining a successful Summer tour, brothers Nick, Joe, and Kevin scheduled 19 dates through November 6 that promised to include set lists with songs from their upcoming album V. The rift has also put the release of the album in jeopardy as well.
Over the past year the brothers have pursued personal projects. Nick and Joe released solo albums while pursuing acting careers, while Kevin and wife Danielle have starred in their own reality TV series on E!. A source close to the situation has said that tour cancellation has nothing to do with the fact Kevin and Danielle are expecting their first child. The source was very clear in stating that the issues strictly pertain to “creative differences”.
