We are big fans of Anthony Anderson. I’ve always thought he was hilarious in anything he’s done, in every role he’s taken on. However, his role on the hit series Black-ish has really been a breakout hit for the comedian and actor. He’s good. No, he’s more than good. He’s great. What I love about him, personally, is that he’s taken on that role of parenting that most of us can only dream of. When my husband and I decided to start our family 8 years ago (this Sunday, in fact) we definitely had a lot of goals as parents; the most important being able to adequately raise our kids to be good kids with kind hearts and a perfect sense of sarcasm. Our role as parents is to appropriately embarrass them whenever possible, to make sure that they have confidence, a sense of humor and that they never feel too good about themselves that they become snotty or too stuck-up – just confident and fun.
Anthony Anderson is just the kind of parent in this hit show that we’ve always dreamt of being, and we look to his character and sometimes think, “Yes, that’s it. That’s how we want to appropriately mortify our children and keep them in check,” and it’s just because he’s funny. We love him, and we really love his twitter feed. Check out some of our favorites. I dare you to tell me he’s not hilarious.

That time he partied with his mother Because we love a man who love his mother. We also love a man who takes his mother on vacation to celebrate her birthday.
That time he was a photobomber
A well-placed photo bomb is one of the best things you can do in your entire life. I mean, we seriously need more people doing this on the red carpet. It’s just fantastic.

That time he talked to Stevie Wonder I mean, I’d trust him, too. I love this, because it’s funny. And because it’s true.
That time his mother was hilarious
We love a man who knows that his mother is hilarious, and we love her, too. She’s actually pretty fantastic, and we love that these two seem so close to one another and that they have such a good relationships. It’s refreshing and it’s nice.
Exactly! Every day is father’s day when you’re raising children. https://t.co/pTcOdjJvDp

That time he told the truth
I thought my husband was the only person in the world who felt this way about parenting. He gets so annoyed with other dads say they’re babysitting their own kids, “It’s called parenting, why don’t people get that?” and it’s nice to see someone else stepping up and understanding it.
