What Freddie Prinze Jr. Has to Say About Keifer Sutherland

To say there aren’t a number of people who’ve wondered what happened to former heartthrob Freddie Prinze Jr. is an understatement. Since his days starring as a main character in mainstream films such as She’s All That and I Know What You Did Last Summer, he’s married former Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and had a couple of cute kids; and sort of stopped working. There was the time in 2010 when he turned up next to Keifer Sutherland on 24, but where’s he been the past five years?

In his own words, Prinze Jr. left Hollywood, and it’s not because of his desire to be a parent or a husband; it’s because his former 24 co-star, Keifer Sutherland, made him want to quit the business. In a city where most celebs brush of rumors of strife and disagreement on set with a laugh and a very noncommittal, “My co-star is a wonderful actor/actress and very dedicated to his/her craft,” Prinze Jr. recently went the other route by opening up about his true feelings for Sutherland.

“I did 24, it was terrible. I hated every moment of it. I just wanted to quit t business after that. So, I just sort of stopped. Keifer was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That’s not me talking trash, I’d say it to his face. I think everyone that’s worked with him has said that…” he tells reporters at Comic- Con recently.

Ouch, Freddie; tell us how you really feel! While it’s no big secret in Hollywood that Sutherland is anything but easy to work with, most actors and actresses just nod and smile and tell the cameras what a great job he does in his roles on film and on television. They don’t come out and tell anyone he’s a pain to work with. Honesty is supposed to be refreshing; do you think Prinze was unprofessional calling out his former co-star on his poor on-set behavior?
