It is tragic when anyone passes before their time, and James Gandolfini’s recent passing had a huge impact on pop culture. This guy was, among other things, Tony Soprano, and Tony Soprano had an impact on all the world, so from that standpoint alone, it was a loss felt by all, industry AND world wide. And it seems Monday night was the premiere of his final film, Enough Said. And in true “family” style, it seems most of his Sopranos family showed up to attend the premiere in his honor.
As Celebuzz reported, Edie Falco and Aida Turturro were at the premiere, among others, walking the carpet in James Gandolfini’s honor, and it reminded us all of the family, and the man we spent so much time with. The premiere took place in New York, and with the fabulous reviews this film is getting, you could clearly see that James Gandolfini was on the minds of many that night. The man left a permanent legacy in the world of pop culture and entertainment, and it was nice to see last night that his first family had not forgotten him.
So we take this moment to remember the passing of a legend. An unforgettable actor that had a larger than life persona, and that legend is one he still carries with him, and with us, even after he is gone.
