Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg are Married

The View co-host (former) Jenny McCarthy is a married woman! She and Donnie Wahlberg tied the knot over the weekend just outside her hometown of Chicago. The couple exchanged their vows in front of close family and friends at the Hotel Baker in St. Charles on Sunday evening. The 41-year-old bride donned a non-custom made gown she found while on a shopping trip to Bergdorf Goodman, where she was seen shopping for gowns in their bridal department earlier in the summer.

Fans weren’t sure what to expect of her wedding ceremony after she joked about how casual it would be in an interview earlier this year. “I could get married in Kentucky Fried Chicken. I don’t care as long as the heart is in the ceremony,” she said of her impending marriage to her fiancé.

Of course, she didn’t get married at KFC, which would probably have been a bit more budget-friendly than the elaborate, but simple-chic affair in Illinois. Several members of Wahlberg’s famous boy band, New Kids on the Block, were in attendance, well as Sheri Shepherd, another former co-host on The View. One person notably absent from the affair was Mark Wahlberg, the groom’s brother, and his family. However, they did send a congratulatory video to the newlyweds.

“I love you, Donnie, we’re very happy for you. Sorry we couldn’t be there, we’ll see you soon,” said Mark in the video.

Present at the ceremony was McCarthy’s 12-year-old son, Evan. He was part of the proposal and part of the wedding, which is a big deal for him and his mom. The couple has been together just over a year. They began dating in the summer of 2013 and became engaged in April.

“The very first time I saw him, I was in the eighth grade and New Kids on the Block was on MTV,” she said of her new husband.
