A new Mercedes-Benz commercial featuring a scantily-clad Kate Upton strutting her stuff in slow-mo has drawn some heat from critics including the Parents Television Council.
“This ad [reinforces] for millions of wives, daughters and sisters across the country that you use your appeal to get what you want,” a PTC spokesperson complained to Daily Mail (via the LA Times). “If anything, this ad proves that we’ve regressed rather than progressed over the last several years.”
As a male all I can say is, “you’re 100% right and not only do I not care, I support this notion.” As an unbiased politically correct person you can’t help but to understand what the PTC is saying here. I mean come on. Good for Kate Upton and her career and all but at the same time this isn’t sending the best message to aspiring career women out there.
