Kelly Rowland Accidentally Reveals Gender of Baby

Kelly Rowland, former Destiny’s Child singer, did something we all occasionally do; she put her foot in her mouth and said something she didn’t mean to say. While her accidental admonition isn’t anything as awful as telling spilling someone else’s secrets, for her it’s probably a little more embarrassing. The singer recently announced that she is currently pregnant with her first child, and she accidentally told a reporter during an interview that the baby is a boy.

“I just feel like the baby is already spoiled rotten – like literally, my Caress family has gotten him all of his little bathing stuff, his toys – it’s just so cool,” she said before realizing she just outed herself. She immediately asked her rep to call her husband and let him know she just announced that they’re having a boy. She goes on to say that she’s been given a lot of advice from her girlfriends, and that she appreciates every bit of it.

“As women, we’re powerful, and women have been so supportive. They always have such nice things to say, whether it’s, ‘Oh my gosh, you look so nice,’ or giving me different advice, and that feels good,” she said of the power women have when they unite and support one another. She goes onto say that one girlfriend gave her an invaluable piece of advice that I think all women should remember.

“One girlfriend told me to make sure that I do not forget about my husband. She’s like, ‘That’s how the baby got here.’ The other one said that I should make sure that I don’t get obsessed with, ‘mommy, mommy, mommy,’ conversation. There’s a life outside of it, and you have to remember you life there, too,” Rowland said in her interview. With advice like that, it seems she’s going to head into parenthood for the first time with what she needs.

My kids love to whine, so I love to wine. My loves include nap time, bed time, date night, travel and evenings and weekends when my husband is home because he handles all diaper changes.
