Kevin Hart Gets Engaged to Enikko Parish

2012 BET Awards - Show

Actor/Comedian Kevin Hart proposed to long time girlfriend Enikko Parrish yesterday and Hart took to Instagram to announce their engagement. Yesterday evening, which was also Parrish’s birthday, uploaded a picture of himself and Parish with the caption “Happy Birthday to the most amazing woman in the world.  Today is your day babe & we are going to party like it’s 1999….I love you so much. I’m a better man because of you…”  Shortly after, Hart posted another a picture of the couple, this time with Parrish displaying a large ring; the picture’s caption: “She said YEEEEESSSSS……#Happy #.”  To date, the first picture of the newly engaged couple has received over 500,000 like and more than 22,000 congratulatory comments from fans.  Another Instagram user, whose relationship with Hart an Parrish is unclear, posted an Instagram video of Mr. Hart’s proposal where he sweetly says that he “chose to make the perfect decision” before popping the question – and everyone in the room cheered when Hart pulled the ring from his back pocket.

Hart and Parrish’s engagement comes after five years of dating and his wedding to the aspiring model/actress will be his second marriage, and ironically, Kevin Hart’s ex wife Torrei Hart, made her own debut yesterday as a cast member of VH1’s new reality series, Atlanta Exes.  In the past Torrei Hart, who is the mother of Kevin Hart’s two children was married to the comedian for seven years, has expressed resentment towards Ms. Parrish, citing her as the cause for ending Hart’s marriage.  However, in recent interviews the former Mrs. Hart has revealed that she is in “a good place” and has “forgiven” and she has also shared that she is seeing someone new.

Hart and Parrish have not yet revealed any wedding plans; however, some of Hart’s celebriy friends have already taken to Instagram with their congratulations with rappers The Game and Drake saying, “Congrats…I’m happy for you guys, your union is beautiful & you guys deserve each other,” and “very special day for one of m biggest inspirations and a true friend,” respectively.
