In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar U.K. Kirsten Dunst said, “I feel like the feminine has been a little undervalued. We all have to get our own jobs and make our own money, but staying at home, nurturing, being the mother, cooking – it’s a valuable thing my mom created” She would go on to say that you need a man to “be a man and a woman to be a woman”. Doesn’t sound too bad right?
Well the 31-year old star’s remarks subsequently sparked a bit of a debate (we didn’t see anything wrong with that). Regardless, it appears as if Dunst’s would-be man Garret Hedlund doesn’t seem to mind her views on gender. The two were spotted in enjoying each other’s company while smoking cigarettes in London this past week.
Dunst and Hedlund were first romantically linked at the beginning of 2012 after meeting on the set of On the Road. In the film, Dunst played one of Hedlund’s wives. One can almost be sure that they’re together and we don’t really see the issue with Dunst’s comments. Perhaps we are missing something. You can see her next in the upcoming film The Two Faces of January opposite Viggo Mortensen.
