It feels like we’ve spent the past month talking about the film adaptation of ’50 Shades of Grey’. It’s time to take a break and discuss another film adaptation that has its own share of problems. Fans of the HBO series have been waiting patiently for an ‘Entourage’ movie to get green lit. Even the actors of the hit HBO series are dying to know when things are going to get moving. Two months ago actor Kevin Connolly Tweeted writer-director Doug Elin looking for answers and all he got was ‘trying to get everyone on board ain’t easy’.
This past week Mark Wahlberg echoed a similar sentiment when he told reporters the following:
“Soon as [those] guys stop being so greedy,” Wahlberg said when asked what was holding up the “Entourage” movie. He quickly backed away from the comments: “No, we just want to make sure … it’s one of those things where if the movie is a success, then we’ll get to make a lot more of them, and then everybody will make a lot of money,” he said. “We want to make it for the fans. It’s the most I’ve ever been asked about a movie.”
This of course begs the question with an ‘Entourage’ movie ever be made? Elin’s Twitter account gets bombarded with questions regarding the movie and his responses aren’t positive. You can click the link above to check them out, but ultimately we think the ‘Entourage’ movie is never going to get green lit. Sad.
