Adam Levine doesn’t strike us as the type of guy to be involved in a Twitter feud, but even the cool Levine isn’t immune to a social media battle. According to The Huffington Post, Levine took to Twitter to call out an “unnamed artist” by saying, “Ugh..recycling old art for a younger generation doesn’t make you an artist. It makes you an art teacher.” He went on to Tweet a few more words you can see by clicking on the link none of which specifically name Lady Gaga.
However, Lady Gaga took exception to the Tweets and fired back, “Uh oh the art police is here”. Disappointingly, that’s the extent of the feud to date. Levine is yet to fire back at Gaga. It can be pretty well understood that the 34-year old ‘The Voice’ coach was singling out Gaga for her “Applause” music video, which features a number of famous pieces of art work.
Like I said, very disappointing Twitter feud, but there may be more to come from two of the bigger stars in the game right now. It should be noted that if Levine wishes to single out artists for “recyclying” old works he’s going to have a laundry list of people to call out.
