McLovin Takes on OutKast Classic at Karaoke Night in Boston
Superbad fans love a little McLovin, and it seems that even in ‘real life,’ he’s just as cool as he is in his alter ego. The movie shot actors such as Jonah Hill, Michael Cera and Seth Rogen to insane fame, and it did the same for Christopher Mintz-Plasse, our very own McLovin, who was only 17 at the time. Now he’s a little bit older and a little bit wiser, and he’s taking his game to the next level rapping to old school hits out with friends.
The actor spent a little time this week catching a Bruins game in Boston with a group of friends, who spent the evening posting about their evening on Twitter and Facebook. Some of the guys in the group took photos at the game, posting about the fun they were having in Boston, including McLovin in their photos. One guy, however, took it a step further and did some recording when the group was out and about after the game. We aren’t experts, but we bet there might have been a few drinks consumed when the group headed over to the popular Sissy K’s for a few drinks, maybe some appetizers and a little karaoke.
McLovin decided to take on the sounds of OutKast and their hit song “Roses,” and it was all caught on film for his fans to see when a friend from the group decided to post the video to his Facebook account for all to see. He might want to keep his day job, but we give Mintz-Plasse huge props for having the confidence to get up in front of a bar filled with strangers and not only tackle karaoke, but a rap song by OutKast; most of us would have gone with something like Yellow Submarine or Sir Mix A Lot.
We have the video for your own personal enjoyment.
