Michael Strahan is Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame

Only former NFL player and Live! With Kelly and Michael co-host Michael Strahan can go out and have the time of his life, calling it the best weekend of his life only one day after it was confirmed that he and his fiancé have ended their relationship. However, that’s exactly what the NFL Hall of Famer did on Saturday night as he was officially inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

“This has been the best weekend of my life,” Strahan said as he thrilled his audience with a memorable and funny speech that included thanking his “TV Wife,” Kelly Ripa for her support, as well as his family, friends, and former coaches and players. Strahan was in Canton, Ohio for the ceremony. During his speech, he admitted that playing football was not something he wanted to do as a child. In fact, he was teased and awkward as a child, his brothers calling him chubby. And then he was drafted to play for the Giants.

Not in the audience to watch him accept his new role as a hall of fame player was his ex-fiance, Nicole Murphy. The couple announced their split just one day before he was inducted. However, he did have some friends in the audience. Kelly Ripa, Usher and Robin Roberts came together to support their favorite player and to be there for him while he accepted his induction and made his speech. Fortunately for Strahan, the end of his relationship did not ruin his big moment. Following the party, he celebrated with a few drinks, his friends, family and even some additional famous faces such as Jon Bon Jovi and LL Cool J.

Strahan was reportedly the last to leave his celebratory party, which included a performance by Jon Bon Jovi and LL Cool J. Sounds like a pretty entertaining way to celebrate being a hall of fame inductee.
