Michelle Obama has teamed up with the Partnership for a Healthier America to put together a new hip-hop album that’s aimed to increase awareness about healthy living. The album will be aptly named Songs for a Healthier America. This all in her overall “Let’s Move” program which is meant to inspire Americans to lead healthier lives. There’s even a song on there called “Veggie Luv” and another tracked called “U R what U Eat.”
The album features artists including Ashanti, DMC of Run-D.M.C., Jordin Sparks and Doug E. Fresh, and according to Pitchfork, Matisyahu, Ariana Grande and Blink-182′s Travis Barker contribute as a trio named Salad Bar. New York Knicks basketball player Iman Schumpert appears on a track, and Nils Lofgren of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band also contributes to the record.
While the first lady herself won’t be rapping on the album she’ll be making cameo appearances in the videos. There will be 10 music videos in all that will be set for distribution. You can check out the full track listings of the album over at Rollingstone.
