Fans of Milla Jovovich have been awaiting another Resident Evil, but they’re going to have to keep waiting. It seems the production of the second installment is going to be put indefinitely on hold as the actress and her husband have a little something else in the works at the moment; baby number two!
“So after a lot of discussion, we thought it would be in everyone’s best interest to wait till the baby is born before we set out to try and tackle an RE movie. Between the stunt work and what will become my ever-expanding belly, we didn’t think pregnancy and zombie killing are the best combo,” the actress wrote online Monday to announce her pregnancy. She was recently interviewed when out and about and stated she was ready for baby number two and working on expanding her family.
She continues to say, “I imagine the only thing I’ll be killing in the near future is an endless supply of cupcakes.” Jovovich and her husband already have one child, 6-and-a-half year old Ever Gabo, and they’re happy to make their daughter a big sister at this point in her life.
“I want to have a baby and that is my number one priority. If I don’t do it now, it will get more difficult the older I get. I have to do it before Ever is too old to enjoy it. I don’t have all the time in the world to think about it,” she says of expanding her family and providing her beloved daughter with a little brother or little sister.
While the couple announced their exciting baby news, they did not announce any due dates or genders. It’s unknown whether or not she’s far enough along to know the baby’s gender or if she’s even interested in finding out whether or not she’s having a boy or girl.
