What We Need to Know About George Clooney’s Fiancee Amal Alamuddin

It’s hard to believe that George Clooney is engaged. One would think the 52-year old may have gotten a little impatient as he got older, but then you look at his fiancee and she’s anything but a hasty decision. We always knew it was going to take something special to lock up Clooney and Amal Alamuddin is just that. In case you don’t know anything about her, here’s the general rundown of Clooney’s future wife.

1.) She’s a well-respected attorney – Alamuddin specializes in international law, human rights, criminal law and extradition. Her most-notable clients have been the Royal Court of Bahrain and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

2.) She’s a well-documented attractive barrister– She was named one of the 21 hottest female barristers in London on the blog ‘Your Barrister Boyfriend’. She’s described as breathtakingly beautiful and formidably successful. Not a bad combination.

3.) She’s a world-traveler – She speaks both Arabic and French, travels the world and spent time in the United States at NYU. She most-recently went on a little safari in Tanzania with Clooney.

4.) She’s discreet – The 36-year old lawyer did not speak a word of her relationship or engagement with Clooney. A source close to the situation reported the engagement than Alamuddin was spotted with a sparkler on her finger. Most women would have been broadcasting the relationship to the world.

5.) Her co-workers are happy for her – She might not talk, but her law firm is thrilled for her. They released their own statement ahead of her – The barristers and staff of Doughty Street Chambers offer their best wishes and congratulations to Ms Amal Alamuddin, a member of Chambers, and Mr George Clooney on their engagement to be married.”

Sounds pretty good to me. That’s a winner right there.
