The long anticipated NSYNC reunion at the VMAs was over before you knew it. If you got up to get a drink of water you missed what was supposed to be a 15 minute performance by the ‘boy band’. The reason the performance was so short? Diva Justin Timberlake decided he wanted to cut it down to a brief medley of NSYNC classics “Gone”, “Bye Bye Bye”, and “Girlfriend”.
According to The Huffington Post, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick, and JC Chasez were originally ‘upset’ that the solo artist decided to cut their performance short. Justin was thrilled they could all make it to be there for his award. In fact, it was Justin who pulled everyone together and told his former bandmates he had a ton of time for the performance. However, it was Justin who decided to trim a 15-minute show to a brief NSYNC tidbit.
At the end of the day the crew from NSYNC can’t be too upset. It was Justin who pulled the guys together and it has been reported that sales of their 2000 hit song “Bye Bye Bye” were up 156% after the show. I don’t think the guys from NSYNC are going to be too bent out of shape for that.
