Oscar Pistorius Breaks Down Crying in Court

Oscar Pistorius wept openly in court yesterday in South Africa as a judge charged him with the Valentine’s Day murder of his model girlfriend. Pistorius — a double amputee track star who competed in last summer’s Olympics — held his hands over his face and sobbed as the prosecution said it would bring a charge of “premeditated murder.”

The bail hearing was postponed at the request of both the prosecution and the defense and the case was adjourned until Tuesday. Pistorius will remain in custody until then. This is just flat out strange. Oscar’s lawyer didn’t flat out say that his client didn’t shoot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp but he did say that “the alleged murder is disputed in the strongest terms.”

It looks like the defense is going to based around an alleged fear that Pistorius has of intruders. In fact Pistorius has tweeted about this on multiple occasions. Still though, this is going to be a tough case to believe. I mean he shot her 4 times. That seems excessive.

We’ll let you know how this plays out.
