Portia d e Rossi Surprises Ellen DeGeneres on Anniversary

It’s happy anniversary to Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. The celebrity couple is celebrating their sixth year as a married couple. The duo has been in the tabloids a lot lately as rumors run wild that the celebrity couple is headed for divorce. However, it seems they’re celebrating their anniversary together, which isn’t usually something couples looking to divorce do all that often.

“Look what my wife did for our wedding anniversary,” DeGeneres tweeted. Along with her tweet she included a photo of the number six in the sky and she and de Rossi standing below it. It’s not the first time de Rossi has used a skywriter to declare her love for her wife of six years. It’s something she does on a regular basis, always surprising her wife with a message when she feel that it’s warranted.

While the couple has continued to ignore the rumors and speculation surrounding their current state of marital bliss, sources that are close to the couple have come forward to talk about their marriage and where it stands.

“They’re had their ups and downs. Portia has been very outspoken about previous issues, like her eating disorder, and she’s good at seeking help when she needs to. They’ve worked out difficulties in the past, and no doubt they’re trying to work out any problems right now,” said a friend of the couple.

DeGeneres will occasionally respond to tabloid rumors of her divorce and rumors about her marriage, and she did so earlier this summer.

“One tabloid says Portia’s leaving me because she doesn’t like moving a lot. Which is funny because she is overseeing the construction of our new house and loving it,” the comedian and talk show host told her audience in the monologue. As she always claims, she’s always the last to know when her marriage is in trouble.
