Prince Charles is in Love with Being a Grandfather

The Prince Of Wales

Being a royal doesn’t make Prince Charles any less of a grandfather. The next-in-line for the throne loves his grandson, Prince George, to pieces, and he just can’t stop gushing about what a joy and an honor it is to get to be a grandfather. During a live chat with the Royal earlier this week, an interviewer asked the Prince some questions, introducing herself while standing in a room in the palace that featured a large photo of the Prince holding his grandson at the baby’s Christening last year, and it’s just adorable.

It seems that the Prince has always wanted to be a grandfather, telling his guests for his 65th birthday last year that he “really enjoys” being a grandfather and that he wishes he could have become a grandfather sooner. He even admitted that he’s always bit a bit envious of his friends and colleagues who had grandchildren before his first grandchild was born. With that in mind, we’re willing to be the Prince is quite excited that he’s about to have not one, but two grandchildren to call his own.

“I’ve had this extraordinary feeling, for years and years, ever since I can remember really, of wanting to heal and make things better. I feel more than anything else it’s my duty to worry about everybody and their lives in this country, to try and find a way of improving things if I possibly can,” he says of his desire to make the world a better place for his grandchildren. Prince Charles really opened up during his interview about the fact that kids are just the best part of life and that he has a new motivation thanks to Prince George and the baby Prince William and Kate Middleton have on the way to make sure his grandchildren have a great and sustainable future.
