I gotta admit. I, personally, think this is a kind of awesome. I know it may be sacrilegious to have a new lead singer standing in the former singer’s place, but what if the new sing was inspired by the lead singer and could sing and swagger like him perfectly? I love Queen and think they are one of the best rock bands of all time. In the same breath, if this means I get to go see Queen live and hear the songs perfectly, which I never would have gotten a chance to, how can anyone be even mad at that? I am talking about Queen and Adam Lambert, touring together as one unit.

Queen knew of Adam Lambert, and ended up  meeting up with him and there was just some serious musical synergy. His showmanship reminded them of Freddy Mercury, and his vocal range only went further at proving what a good fit Queen and Adam Lambert would be. Yes, Queen purists may be upset, but think of all the younger generations who may now get to hear amazing Queen music they would have otherwise never seen or even knew anything about? I can understand the Catch 22 feel to the whole thing, but we need to give Lambert a shot. His heart is in the right place, as are his vocal chords. Now we just need to see if he can pull it off.

I’ll be honest. It the tickets aren’t 300 dollars, I will be at the show when it rolls through Boston. I just wanna hear “Another One Bites the Dust” live. Is that so wrong?
