As far as I am concerned, Scarlett Johansson already has super powers. She was the power to make grown men swoon at her good looks. She has the power to make boys drool when they watch the Avengers. They might not be super power powers, but to me, they set a good foundation. Well, looks like Scarlett Johansson becomes a super powered genius in a new Luc Besson thriller called “Lucy.” Sorry, but that is some darn good casting right there.
The film features Scarlett Johansson as a drug mule (someone who transports drugs for other people, often inside Themselves) who is tasked with moving some strange, new drug, but it ends up leaking inside of her and giving her super powers. The trailer shows she can change shape, manipulate time, and a host of other cool abilities that the trailer will not ruin for us. The idea here is that whatever it is, it is fine-tuning her as a human. But if you know of stories like this (Limitless, for example) you know that these things come at a price. The thing is, right now we do not know what that price is, yet. But you can bet whatever it is will put a nice spin on the movie.
Lucy is directed by French director, Luc Besson, who does have a great habit of making films that are great fun to watch, and it sounds Lucy will be no different. Plus, can’t wait to see Scarlett Johansson become a super powered genius. That movie is bound to get some heads into the theater based on concept (and casting) alone.
