It is safe to say Sigourney Weaver must be one of James Cameron’s muses. After he worked with her on Aliens, seems he tried to find her bits in some of his other movies. Avatar being a perfect example, with her playing the tough-as-nails woman again. Well, good news for fans of Weaver and that series. Seems Sigourney Weaver just signed on to be in three Avatar sequels. Wait, three? I thought it was going to be a trilogy? Shows what I know.

Wait, she was killed in Avatar! I remember now. So how is a dead character showing up in three more movies after being killed? Well, this is Avatar. Don’t forget, the whole premise of the story is about switching up bodies and such. Though Cameron says she will be coming back as a new character, who’s to say at this point? Pandora is a brand new world that Cameron created, and he can do with it (and with his characters) whatever he sees fit.

Sigourney Weaver is amazing in science fiction, so she will be right at home no matter who she is playing. He should bring her back as Ripley, and she thinks all of Pandora is bad so she kills everything. I’d go see that movie twice. Either way, I am just glad she is back and looking forward to heading back to Pandora.
