Taylor Swift might just be the female equivalent of George Clooney except for the fact that she discusses her past relationships publicly through her songs. Joe Jonas – (July 2008- October 2008)

According to Taylor Swift, this short lived romance ended when the Jonas brother infamously called it quits through a 27 second phone call. Jonas denied that he broke up with her that way and Swift reportedly wrote three songs about him.

Lucaas Till

Lucas Till – (March 2009- April 2009)

Till starred in Swift’s music video for “You Belong With Me” and started dating during that period. However, their fling only lasted a month and realized that they only saw each other as friends.

Taylor Lautner – (August 2009- December 2009)

While these two seemed like they were a match made in Taylor heaven, it ultimately did not work out and Swift ended their relationship after a few months of dating. The reason was never disclosed, but maybe you can decipher it through listening to “Back to December.”

John Mayer – (December 2009- February 2010)

Hot off her heals dating Lautner, Swift managed to recover by dating notorious playboy musician John Mayer. The latter is more than 10 years older than the young pop star. The relationship ended on a sour note and everybody knew it since she penned the song “Dear John” to chronicle her heartbreak.

Cory Monteith – (April 2010- May 2010)

While the pair never confirmed that they dated, both blushed when Ellen DeGeneres brought up the subject. Things might have not have ended badly or they just realized that romance wasn’t for them.

Jake Gyllenhaal

Jake Gyllenhaal – (October 2010- January 2011)

During their whirlwind romance, the duo spent Thanksgiving in New York and even had quality time in Swift’s home in Nashville. It was reported that Swift wrote many heartbreak themed tunes about the romance in her album “Red.” Perhaps the age gap, Gyllenhaal’s celebrity status, or his hectic film schedule was to blame.

Eddie Redmayne – (October 2011- January 2012)

The two met when they were both auditioning for a role in the film Les Miserables. Swift was auditioning for the part of Eponine, and Redmayne got the role he auditioned for. While both deny that they had a relationship, the media reported that the duo were together a lot in New York. Their brief fling appeared to have fizzled in a few months.

Zac Efron – (February 2012- March 2012)

Efron and Swift reportedly dated when they met on the set of the film “The Lorax.” They both denied the existence of the relationship, but they did write a parody of the song “Pumped Up Kicks” about their rumored relationship in Ellen DeGeneres’ show.

Conor Kennedy – (July 2012- October 2012)

Swift began to date a high school boy who was 18 years old Conor Kennedy. He just wasn’t any boy though since he is actually related to the Kennedy clan of politicians. They called it quits when Conor had to go back to school in the Fall.

Harry Styles – (December 2012- January 2013)

Swift and Styles were dubbed as “Haylor” when reports surfaced that two were dating. Sadly, their relationship was a bit turbulent with numerous rumors flying around that their romance wasn’t exactly smooth sailing. The song “I Knew You Were Trouble” was strongly believed to be written about Styles in Swift’s latest album.
