The Eurythmics are Reuniting for a Beatles Tribute

2005 American Music Awards Rehearsals - Day 2

You guys must remember the Eurythimics, right? The 80’s new wave band fronted by pop goddess, Annie Lennox? Well, if you don’t, you should. Their brand of art infused pop was making statements LONG before Lady Gaga was doing it all for the applause. Good news for fans of that wonderful band. The Eurythmics are reuniting to do a Beatles tribute show after The Grammy’s this year. It seems sweet dreams are made of this.

After the Grammy’s this year, there will be a special called: The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to The Beatles. The Eurythmics are reuniting for that one show, or so rumors say. The show will focus on a bunch of big name performers do their own version of covers of classic Beatles songs. If you remember songs like Here Comes The Rain Again by The Eurythimics (the song was the exact opposite of The Beatles classic, Here Comes the Sun) you realize how much of an interesting  synth approach they may be able to bring to some of these classic Beatles songs. If you are a fan of music, seems like this is a great reason to celebrate. Not only are The Beatles getting some props, but The Eurythmics are reuniting. How awesome is that? CBC News has more.
