The spotlight was on President Obama tonight with his State of the Union address, but the bright lights were a little too hot for Senator Marco Rubio. The Junior Senator from Florida offered the Republican rebuttal moments after the SOTU and Rubio appeared nervous from the start.
A few minutes before the end of his speech, you could tell that Rubio was physically struggling. He was wiping sweat from his brow, fighting off the accumulation of spit in the corners of his lips, and then it happened. Rubio, on live television made a dive for a quick sip of water.
Instantly, everything he said was forgotten. All anyone will remember from his speech is that sip of Poland Spring water. For all I know he unveiled a plan to give everyone in the USA a job, but all I remember is…aqua.
It’s just too bad that Rubio didn’t redeem himself by immediately declaring “these pretzels are making me thristy” after taking the swig.

Marco perhaps you should have stuck to the SOTU rebutill instead to all the lies your party is so well known for. It’s pretty hard to lie and twist words for that long on camara. What a work out!
