Uma Thurman’s Ex Sues for Custody of Toddler Daughter

Uma Thurman was engaged to Arpad Busson, a multimillionaire investor from London, but she called off their long engagement earlier this year. The actress offered no information as to why she was calling off the engagement, she simply did. Though the decision to end her long engagement with Busson couldn’t have been an easy one for the actress, considering she and her ex share a 2-year-old little girl, Rosalind.

What appeared to be an amicable split has turned ugly according to new court documents that state the actress is being sued by her ex for custody of their daughter. Thurman’s spokesperson issued a statement commenting on the newly released information.

“It is unfortunate that this very private discussion regarding Mr. Busson’s visitation rights and his participation gin decision making has been made public. However, we are optimistic that a fair agreement for both sides will be reached out of court,” said the spokesperson from Thurman’s camp.

There is no word why the investor is looking to take custody of his daughter, or if the situation is one that is less than amicable. However, he’s recently been spotted out and about with a British actress, Kristin Scott Thomas, and has confirmed he is now dating her. Thurman has not been spotted out with any men other than her longtime friend Quentin Tarantino, and that was back at the beginning of summer. She was previously married to actor Ethan Hawke and the couple has two children together; Maya, who is 16, and Levon, who is 12. When the actress was pregnant with her toddler, she was often heard saying that her older children were very excited about the prospect of having a younger sibling. Now it looks as if their sister’s father is looking to take custody away from the girl’s mother for unknown reasons.
