10 Celebrities We’re Sure are Amazing Parents

Parenting is far from easy, and that’s why so many people seem to find it so overwhelming. It’s probably also why some people just come across as awful parents. All right; that’s not the reason some people come across as awful parents. Awful parents are typically just awful people who shouldn’t have kids. Even those of us who have no idea what we are doing in the parenting department (that would be all of us) manage to make it all work out. Our kids go to bed happy, healthy and relatively free of injury every night (save for the 67 imaginary boo-boos my kids develop when they realize we have a box of character bandaids from their favorite movie currently not attached to anything – the injuries begin to flow at that realization). There’s a lot of monotony, a lot of uncertainty and a constant fear associated with parenting, but there’s also a lot of fun, laughter, smiles and so much love. And that’s what makes parenting worth it.

While we don’t personally know many (any) celebs, sometimes it’s just easy to tell which ones are clearly good parents. In fact, we’d take any of the following celebs as our own. Actually, if any are looking for a new daughter, almost 32, self-sufficient, an amazing son-in-law and four adorable new grandkids, call me.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck

These two are constantly with their kids, playing at the park, enjoying ice cream and doing things as a family. They try to stay out of the limelight as much as their careers will allow, and they’re almost never spotted out and about without at least one of their three kids in tow whether they are together or separate. And when they speak of their kids during interviews, it’s with more affection that you could imagine.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos

This is a couple that’s been married many years, welcomed three kids and still seem to enjoy the parenting and the marriage part of their lives. Their kids are constantly with them, and listening to them talk makes you realize just how much time they spend with their kids at school functions, on the weekends and on vacations. They’re obviously dedicated parents.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie

Most of their family photos come with a few kids – at least. They spend the vast majority of their time with their kids, and anyone willing to adopt that many kids and still have that many of their own must really love them. Either way, they seem to have happy kids that enjoy their parents.

Sandra Bullock

She didn’t go into the adoption process as a single mom, but she came out of it a single mom. And she spends her time with her son like it’s her business. Actually, it is her business. That’s just what happens when you make the decision to become a parent. Listen to any interview she gives and you’ll hear the undulated love and affection she has for her son in every word she speaks of him.

Heidi Klum and Seal

Despite their divorce, this is a hands-on couple that takes parenting seriously. It’s common to see them together for the sake of their kids, and that’s something not too many couples can do anymore. Seal even adopted Klum’s oldest daughter with whom she was pregnant when they first began dating.

Reese Witherspoon

Not only does her daughter look just like her, she also seems to be a lot like her mother. This is one woman who always has her kids with her, and it seems to work for her. She shares them with her ex-husband, actor Ryan Philippe, and they are another couple that does spend some time together for the sake of their children.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick

When do you see the two of them on the streets of NYC without a child? That would be pretty much never. They can hire nannies and other people to help them with their kids, but they choose to do it on their own. It’s not uncommon to see them up as a family walking their kids to school in the early morning and home again in the afternoons. They’re a family that sticks together and spends their time together, and that’s important.

Jessica Alba

She and husband Cash Warren have two little girls, and everything that they do is centered around their kids. She even began a company that makes baby items so that she could have what she thought parents needed when they brought their little ones home. And it’s always refreshing to hear Alba talk about her daughters and their personalities when she’s giving interviews. It reminds the rest of us that celebrity kids are just as stubborn and demanding when it comes to doing things like choosing their own clothes for the day.

Michelle Williiams

Being a single parent is hardly a dream come true for anyone, especially when your daughter’s father is deceased. When Michelle Williams and Heath Ledger welcomed their daughter, Matilda, into the world several years ago, they certainly did not think that Williams would become a single mother to the extent that she is, but she seems to be doing a lovely job of it. She’s with her daughter, and she’s managed to keep their private lives very private.

Matt Damon

Now here is a man who is proud to be a father. He has four daughters, one of whom he adopted as his own after meeting his wife and the mother of his children. He and his wife are always with their kids, out and about and doing things together as a family. He’s said in many interviews, too, that his family is much more at home being lazy and doing fun family activities than they are out and about in the middle of the press. He keeps his life private, and he and his wife seem to put their kids ahead of their careers and other less important things.
