48th Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards - Show

When you think of a desert, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Probably a hot, dry, desolate place with little to no life or excitement.  However, the great city of Las Vegas is nothing like that.  Full of lights and life, Las Vegas is a popular tourist attraction for people who love to party and gamble.  Vegas has also become a very popular place for people who love seeing good live performances.  Over the years, some of the best acts in the entertainment industry have graced the stages of Vegas to put on shows for their fans.  Vegas has become a hot location for performers as well because of the potential to bring in ridiculous amounts of money. You’ll probably be surprised how much some of these stars are making. Here are 10 of the highest paid acts in Las Vegas.

Fergie

Whether she’s riding solo or hitting the stage with her fellow Black Eyed Peas, Fergie can command some big bucks for hitting the stage.  When it comes to Vegas; however, Fergie doesn’t even have to perform to make money.  Just for making an appearance at a party of club in Vegas, Fergie can make up to $100,000.  Apparently, her presence alone it’s worth more than most people make an entire year.  Too bad everyone can’t get paid just for showing up.

Lady Gaga

2013 American Music Awards - Show

Just like Fergie, Lady Gaga can rake in some serious cash just by appearing in Vegas.  Over the years, Gaga’s creative fashion choices and on-stage persona have earned her a lot of attention from fans who just love watching to see what she will do next.  However, Gaga has also performed in Vegas alongside music legend Tony Bennett, and with tickets ranging from $69 to $300 Gaga was making money hand over fist.

Wayne Newton has been performing in Las Vegas for a good chunk of his career, and he’s become somewhat of a novelty in the city. Although it’s unclear how much Newton makes every time he hits the Vegas stage, with a $100 million net worth, and the fact that most of his income comes from Vegas performances, it’s safe to say he’s making a pretty penny for performing in Sin City.

Beyoncé

Pepsi Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show

Beyoncé is one of the most popular performers in the world, so it’s really no surprise that she’s making a ton of money wherever she goes. During the summer of 2009, Beyoncé performed four shows in Vegas as part of her I Am…Yours show series. According to Beyoncé: “ve always wanted to perform in Las Vegas, I’ve always wanted to do my own show there, because a lot of the icons that I look up to had amazing shows in Las Vegas.” Well, apparently, fans were just as exited about Beyoncé coming to Vegas as she was. Ticket prices of the shows ranged between $250 and $1,000 and as usual, Beyoncé had no problem filling the house. If Beyoncé ever agreed to do a longterm residency in Vegas, she would probably be making an astronomical amount of money.

Mariah Carey is a legend.  Rising to fame in the 90s, Carey quickly became one of the biggest acts in the music business with her ability to hit ridiculously high notes. Now, with her very own residency in Vegas, Miss Mariah is back on a roll.  However, the details on exactly how much Carey’s contract is for are a little fuzzy.  But since she is well-known for being a diva, it’s hard to believe that she would accept anything less than what Britney Spears is making – after all, Mariah Carey does have 18 number one hits.
