Ellen Page Uses Twitter to Talk About Feet

"Whip It" Screening - 2009 Toronto International Film Festival

Throughout her career, Ellen Page has won the hearts of fans with her quirky sense of humor and fun personality.  With nearly 20 years under her belt, the 26 year-old Halifax native has gone from a child star to a successful adult, and she has taken her fans along for the ride.  As a result, Page has built a close relationship with her fans, and they seem to respond well to her.  Through the use of the popular social media platform, Twitter, Page’s fans have been able to ‘follow’ her even when she isn’t on-screen.  Although people use Twitter to talk about different things, many people struggle to get their followers to engaged.  However, it seems that no matter what Page her to say, her fans are willing to listen.  Surprisingly, any time Page mentions feet (hers or anyone else’s), her fans seemed to respond in large numbers.  Here are three feet tweets from Ellen Page’s Twitter account.

When most people’s feet fall asleep, no one else cares.  However, when Ellen Page tweets about her foot falling asleep, she gets nearly 100 retweets and over 138 favorites.  Unfortunately, most people struggle to get retweets on posts that are far more life-changing. Apparently, having famous feet really does pay off after all.

In the form of a “diary” entry, Page tweets director to comedian/actor, Steve Agee.  Page and Agee have had a friendly relationship over the years, and Page has appeared as a guest on his webcast.  Hopefully; however, Agee’s feet don’t actually stink.

It’s unclear exactly what Page meant by this rhyming feet tweet.  Perhaps, she attempted to type with her feet and found it unsuccessful? One this is for sure though, when Ellen Page uses Twitter to talk about feet, her followers seem to be paying unusually close attention.
