Five Reasons Why Charlie Sheen is Still Winning

In 2011, actor Charlie Seen suffered a very public melt down.  The one time star of CBS’ sitcom, Two and a Half Men, seemed to completely lose it after being released from the show.  Sheen went on many strange rants, making statements suggesting that there was more to his meltdown than just attention seeking behavior.  Most famously, Sheen began to declare that he was “winning” making statements such as: “The only thing I’m addicted to is winning. This bootleg cult, arrogantly referred to as Alcoholics Anonymous, reports a 5 percent success rate. My success rate is 100 percent.”  Fans everywhere were confused be Sheen’s odd behavior, but in the months after being fired – it appeared that perhaps Sheen really was winning.  However, even though it’s been nearly four years, and the buzz surrounding his behavior in 2011 has certainly died down; here are five reasons why Charlie Sheen is still winning.

5.  Charlie Sheen has more than 11 million Twitter Followers.

Charlie Sheen currently has 11.3 million Twitter followers.  When he joined Twitter in 2011, amid his meltdown, he reached one million followers in only two days – giving him the Guinness record for the Fastest Time to Reach 1 Million Followers.

4. Charlie Sheen is the highest paid Twitter user.

With the popularity of social networking websites increasing, it is not uncommon for well-known celebrities to be paid to tweet – especially if their tweets endorse a specific company or product.  In 2011, Sheen was  paid more per tweet than any other celebrity, and although Kim Kardashian has since bumped him down to second place, he’s still making approximately $9,500 per tweet.

3. Charlie Sheen stands to make $2 million.

The world may think Charlie Sheen is crazy, but at least he’s smart enough to profit on being crazy.  Although Sheen’s career took a big hit after his departure from Two and a Half Men sources say that Sheen will make $200 million dollars if Anger Management reaches its hundredth episode.

2. Even rappers want to win like Charlie Sheen.

Since 2011, Charlie Sheen’s name has been mentioned in several rap songs.  West coast rap sensation, Nipsey Hussle, even has a song titled, “Charlie Sheen,” in which he says, “we get that green; Charlie Sheen/we winning…”

1. Charlie Sheen is still the star of a successful show.

Since 2012, just a year after being very publicly fired from Two and a Half Men, Sheen landed a starring role on FX’s popular series, Anger Management.
