What do Rappers Bobby Schmurda and Tupac Have in Common?

Rapper Bobby Schmurda might not be a household name, but he has something in common with Tupac Shakur outside of the rap game; and we have to wonder if perhaps it’s because of a little superstition. The two certainly did not know one another, considering Schmurda was only 2-years-old when Tupac died after being shot in Las Vegas. However, after the young rapper was arrested at Quad Studios in NYC fans of both his and Tupac Shakur’s began wondering if perhaps the location is bad luck, tied somehow to some sort of bad omen. After all, how many times can one location be the scene of dangerous gun-related crimes without someone wondering what’s going on there?

He was arrested in New York at Quad Studios, the same place Tupac Shakur was shot in 1994 nearly two years before he was shot and killed. While at Quad Studios, Tupac was shot by unknown assailants, 5 times, and robbed. However, the robbers left his Rolex on his arm leaving police and Shakur himself to believe that perhaps the robbery was a setup and that there was another motive for the shooting. Shakur went on to accuse Puff Daddy (now known as Diddy) and Notorious B.I.G. for the shooting, but there was no evidence that any of that was true.

The studio has seen its fair share of gun-related incidents in the past 20 years, and it makes us wonder if there is something else going on. Could the studio be bad luck? Superstition is something that many people believe in, and when numerous bad things happen in one place to people in the same industry, a few might wonder if working in the studio is something that might cause the bad luck. Whether or not you believe in superstition, you’re now going to wonder whether or not this place really is bad luck, especially all that’s happened here in the past 20 years.
